  • I want to book for you to do my makeup and/or hair, what happens first?

    Contact me by email or phone or the contact form found on my website and after discussing your queries, request that you would like to go ahead with the booking and I will send you the Booking Form to complete. Once completed send back to the address supplied or through email, within 14 days.

  • Which make up brands do you use?

    I use a selection of professional make-up brands suitable for different skin types. My foundations from Dior, Illamasqua and MAC are chosen for their longevity and flawless coverage. All other products for face, eyes and lips are a range of Laura Mercier, Dior, Nars, Tom Ford, Bobbi Brown and MAC.

  • I have sensitive skin, is it suitable for me?

    The products I use are water based, so it is unlikely that you would react to them. If however you do have any known allergies then please let me know before your trial so that I can try and source alternative products for you.
  • How soon before my wedding do I need a trial?

    Trials are usually recommended 6-8 weeks before the wedding. You’ll have had final fittings for your dress and will be confident about the style that you’re after. Your hair will also be representative of the length on your wedding day. I’m very happy to arrange a trial earlier than this date however, and second trials can be arranged closer to the date if required. 

  • How far in advance do you take bookings?

    I accept bookings 12 months in advance. Please note that last minute bookings are sometimes available so please just get in touch as I may be able to help!

  • Can I arrange trials for other members of the wedding party?

    I can do as many separate trials as you want. Trials are not compulsory for bridesmaids and Mothers of the Brides but I do ask that you send over some pictures of your bridesmaids and examples of styles that you would like for them so that I can fully prepare timings for the day.

  • What happens at the trial?

    A trial for the bride alone lasts around 2 hours. We will discuss the details of your wedding - dress, accessories, flowers, theme etc. We will also discuss what make-up you would normally wear, (if any) and will discuss any ideas we both have and then complete your look until you are happy, making any changes until perfect for you.  If your bridesmaids, mother or any other guests would like a trial they can have theirs at the same time or book an additional appointment at a later date.

  • What do I need to do to prepare for the trial?

    For the trial please have clean, dry hair and if possible have any hair accessories and veil if you are planning to wear any. If you have an idea of what you would like then it may be useful to cut out some pictures from magazines or show me a Pinterest board to help me to plan out a few styles for you before the trial. 

  • What happens on the wedding day?

    For the wedding day please make sure that you wear a dressing gown, zip or buttoned up top so that you do not disturb your hair when changing into your dress. I will arrive in plenty of time to set-up so ready to start the first person promptly, as discussed on the schedule beforehand. The timings for hair and makeup on the morning will have been planned and I will always have everybody ready in good time to avoid lateness, stress and panic on the morning. Hair is normally done first on everybody and I work on bridesmaids, mums etc first so that the bride is as fresh as possible for the ceremony.
  • Can I use my own make up?

    I am happy to apply any makeup products of your own. I want you to feel at your best and so would be glad to use any products that you feel most comfortable in.
  • I live outside the North West, are you able to travel?

    I am able to travel anywhere within the UK. Mileage is charged at 50p per mile outside of a 20 mile radius from Poynton, Cheshire. If you will be based more than a 3 hour journey from here, then additional costs may be incurred for example hotels or toll charges. You are more than welcome to come to me if that suits you better. 
  • What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

    Please let me know at least 4 weeks in advance if you need to cancel your booking. Please note that cancellations within the 4 weeks will incur a loss of your deposit, and an extra fee of £50. Cancellations within 10days of your wedding date will be charged in full. I ask that any cancellations are made via telephone AND email where possible to save any confusion. Payment of a deposit and sending a signed booking form means that you accept these terms.

  • What method of payment do you take?

    I can take a bank transfer or cash.
